The Canary Islands reported 144 new outbreaks this week with 689 cases of coronavirus infection. These new outbreaks are distributed by islands as follows: 50 in Gran Canaria, 47 in Tenerife, 18 in Fuerteventura, 18 in Lanzarote, seven in La Palma, two in La Gomera and two in El Hierro.
The most numerous outbreaks are three: a social-health outbreak, with occupational ramification, with 26 affected, a social outbreak with family ramification, with 13 cases, and another of family origin with eleven associated cases, all in Gran Canaria. In general, most of the outbreaks have between 3 and 7 cases.
Of the 55 social outbreaks, in addition to the one already mentioned, with 13 cases in Gran Canaria, there were 10 outbreaks related to nightlife, all in Tenerife, with 60 affected persons; three of them had ten, nine and nine affected persons, and one of them had a branch on another island. In addition, another seven outbreaks were associated with dinners among friends.
Family outbreaks, all reported among families from different homes, ranged from three to seven associated cases, except for four, two of them in Tenerife with eight and nine associated cases, one in Lanzarote and another in Gran Canaria with eight and nine cases, respectively.

Several points and schedules are maintained for vaccination without previous appointment on December 24 and 25. In Gran Canaria, Infecar and Expomeloneras and in Tenerife, the Recinto Ferial and Magma Arte y Congresos will also have activity on December 25, in addition to other points in the other islands.
