Esta lista de periódicos en España incluye los diarios y semanarios españoles emitidos en España. En 1950 el número de diarios en circulación en España era de 104; en 1965 esta cifra había descendido a 87.[1] En 1984, en el periodo posterior a la transición a la democracia, el número de diarios había ascendido a 115.[2] Sin embargo, desde entonces, la llegada de los nuevos medios de comunicación ha ido acompañada de un descenso tanto en las cifras de difusión de los periódicos en general como en el número de cabeceras publicadas, siendo los años 2008 a 2012 cuando se produjo el cierre de 31 cabeceras.[3]
