As with the Mi MIX since the first, the aesthetics has revolved around elegance and sophistication, taking advantage of this somewhat differential series to opt for other more expensive materials. In this case highlights the ceramic, which they have presented in three colors: white, gray and black.

As we have said, the screen is the protagonist in a front that is not interrupted either by a hole or by thicker upper and lower frames. This is thanks to the technology that premieres with this mobile and already anticipated in a previous state, showing in the presentation how it manages to hide the camera under the screen.

Mind you, the screen of the MIX 4 is flat, being a 6.67-inch AMOLED that has a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and HDR10 support. We also don’t see a resolution that’s up to par with what you’d expect from a flagship reference, with FullHD+ and a pixel density of 386 pixels. Although the maximum refresh rate is 120 Hz.

That new terminal could be the Mi MIX 4, a high-end smartphone that would arrive armed to the teeth with a Snapdragon 888, UWB technology and perhaps with the arrival of the front camera under the screen.

The terminal will apparently feature the Ultra-WideBad (UWB) technology that we have already seen in some Samsung and Apple terminals – which uses it for example in its AirTags – and that poses an alternative to Bluetooth.

Is Xiaomi proposing a rival to AirTags and SmarTags? It will be interesting to check, and certainly these data seem to point to it taking advantage of the launch of that hypothetical Mi MIX 4. It seems that the fever for these locators is contagious.

The first Xiaomi Mi MIX arrived with its repositioned subjective camera (without hole) and its 83.6% of frontal utilization by the screen to a world of mobiles that hovered around 72% in the best cases, as in the Samsung Galaxy S7. Subsequently, the format was maintained with the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s, ending with a Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 with a mobile screen. The Alpha remained as a concept, and now it remains to know what awaits us in this peculiar series of mobiles.

What innovation do we expect? A foldable phone. After an Alpha with infinity screens that was never produced for marketing and the sliding screen of the Xi MIX 3, it seems that the time has come to take advantage of the situation and join the (timid) fashion of folding, joining Huawei and Samsung mainly.

Contrary to what usually happens, this time the poster that serves as confirmation does not do it in advance and there are no clues. Beyond the date of the event and a screen inside another, there are no silhouettes or hints with which they sometimes play to give hidden clues.
