Xiaomi mi 9 se xataka

The new MIUI 13 interface seeks to correct and enhance. Compared to previous more radical updates – anyone remember the leap from MIUI 10 to 11? – MIUI 13 seems to bet on safety, optimize to the maximum and provide the best possible user experience.

This mode would simplify the communication between smartphone, tablet and computer through a control of icons similar to iPadOS, but vitaminized by Samsung DeX own work tools. That is: dual screen, shortcuts, screenshots, document synchronization…

As we see in the image leaked by XDA-devs, both the hierarchy and arrangement of icons and the lower dock are strongly reminiscent of the iPad operating system. However, it also adds a number of accessibility and multitasking features such as the switch to switch between apps or a touch dragging from below to return to the home screen.

However, the actual release date is still unknown, and all this information should be taken with a grain of salt as it is not an official statement. As we indicated, Xiaomi has not given any possible official release date and we do not have the final list of terminals ready for MIUI 13.

xiaomi mi 9 will be photos taken

We have mentioned in the past that thanks to technological advancement, computational photography is driving the power of mobile as a photographic system. Under the right hands we can see people capturing gallery-worthy scenes on their iPhone, Pixel, Huawei and other brands. Could Xiaomi’s mobile be up to the task?

Our colleagues at Xataka have already done an in-depth analysis of what the handset is like overall. This article is not intended to tell you whether it is a good mobile or not. This mobile simply caught our attention from a photographic point of view. After testing a few days a borrowed one in May, I decided to buy it last month and try to experiment from someone who likes to be on shoots or photo outings capturing moments.

Unfortunately, because of the quarantine here where I am, I have not been able to test the full potential of the camera. But after a month of using a 108 MP system with five cameras, these are my impressions of the photographic value of this terminal.

Xiaomi began hoisting the banner of almost unbeatable prices for its high-end smartphones and, although with caveats, continues to keep them in a line that is well below those of other manufacturers with mobiles of the same line. And in that strategy is to subdivide its Mi line to democratize it and introduce purely mid-range phones, and we put that bet to the test again in the analysis of the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE.

With a lower capacity battery than the LG V35 ThinQ, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE achieves a lower volume, also with respect to the Xiaomi Mi A2, whose battery is below that of the Mi 9 SE but is taller.

The front bezels are horizontally asymmetrical, as the bottom one is slightly thicker than the sides and the top one and are not particularly discreet. But in any case it is a very good percentage and manages to give a much more remarkable feeling of “almost all-screen” than other previous Mi like the Xiaomi Mi A2 (with 77.4%).

The relativity in the greater or lesser acceptance of a feature may be in seeing it in one or another range of mobiles. FullHD+ falls short for us when talking about totems like the Huawei P30 Pro, especially when its predecessors already jumped this fence, but it fits the Mi 9 SE quite well on its 5.99-inch AMOLED display.

When it comes to internal storage, the Mi 9 SE offers two possibilities: 64 or 128 GB, although choosing the higher one does not lead to an increase in RAM. Its battery is 3,070 mAh and can be charged quickly with a power of 18W. The operating system, how could it be otherwise, is Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10.

You can not miss the artificial intelligence, which will take care of scene recognition. As happens in other terminals with the same technology, the camera of the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE will detect what kind of photo we are taking and will apply a series of color and light corrections to optimize the scene. It is also capable of recording in slow motion at up to 960 frames per second.

We expect to see the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE in a couple of days in Barcelona, specifically on the 24th. It is then when, possibly, we will get out of doubts regarding its price and international availability. It will arrive in two versions, both with 6 GB of RAM, but with different storage capacity. Prices in China are as follows:
