Regarding the battery, the Pixel 3 incorporates 2,915 mAh of battery. Meanwhile, the Pixel 3 XL comes with 3,450 mAh, a slightly lower amount than the 3,520 mAh that the Pixel 2 XL had. We do not have an ultra-fast charging system like those of Huawei or Oppo, but we do have an 18W charger.

The Digital Wellbeing gives us a fairly accurate information of our use, so that perhaps we are somewhat more aware of it (very similar to the Time of use in iOS). To close, regarding colors, both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL arrive in three colors: white with the power button in turquoise blue, all black or light pink with the button in orange. I personally think the light pink is the prettiest of the three. We also got to see a nice collection of fabric-finish protective cases in new colors.

Panel calibration is much better, with vivid colors that are a far cry from the dull tones of the previous generation, but without becoming saturated. The screen doesn’t tarnish as soon as we turn it a bit and overall the whites are purer and more pleasing to the eye. I was able to compare it with my Pixel 2 XL and the difference is more than noticeable.

Another new feature is Night Sight, a night mode that at least in the tests we’ve been shown points to significantly improve low-light performance. Portrait mode has also been improved and now allows you to choose the depth of field once the photo is taken, but still does not let us see if the blur is applied at the time of taking the shot.

Al disparar con poca luz, el Pixel 3 tiene algunas dificultades cuando el flash está desactivado, produciendo exposiciones oscuras, altos niveles de ruido y algunos tintes de color con muy poca luz. Hay algunos ligeros tintes de color en las imágenes capturadas con el flash activado, pero el detalle es bueno.

En condiciones de poca luz, los usuarios de Pixel 3 están mejor utilizando el modo nocturno dedicado del dispositivo. Es uno de los mejores que hemos probado hasta ahora y mejora mucho la calidad de la imagen con respecto al modo estándar, con una exposición mucho más brillante en condiciones de muy poca luz y unos tintes de color mucho menos perceptibles.

El Pixel 3 ofrece un rendimiento satisfactorio al disparar con poca luz, ganándose una posición en el medio del pelotón de nuestro nuevo ranking nocturno. La diferencia entre él y los mejores dispositivos no es demasiado grande, pero como ocurre con casi todos los smartphones, todavía hay bastante margen de mejora cuando se dispara en condiciones de poca luz.
