Castilla-La Mancha is located in the heart of the Iberian Peninsula, a strategic place of communication between the north and the south of the country, crossed also by the axis between Portugal and the Mediterranean Levant, physical and geographical characteristics that inevitably impregnate a special character.

In addition to the great plain of La Mancha, a large natural region that extends over a large part of the provinces of Ciudad Real, Albacete, Toledo and Cuenca, there is the Alcarria, which covers part of the provinces of Guadalajara and Cuenca.

Castilla-La Mancha is home to three national parks and numerous areas of interest, many of them almost untouched and little known, where species such as deer, roe deer, foxes, lynxes, golden eagles and black vultures live.

For the modern tourist, visiting its cities and towns full of history and monuments, tasting its traditional cuisine or enjoying its popular festivals is already more than enough to get to know this community. But you can also discover its profound originalities by taking alternative routes, such as the Route of the Black Villages (which owes its name to the slate material abundant in these places and a defining element of its popular architecture); the Route through the Saffron Fields; the Enchanted City of Cuenca (La Ciudad Encantada de Cuenca); and the Route through the Saffron Fields (La Ruta de los Pueblos Negros); The Enchanted City of Cuenca, with its gigantic and bizarre limestone blocks sculpted by natural agents; The Route of Don Quixote; The Route of the Spells of the Wizard Merlin; The Route through the Mancha Esteparia; Secret Albacete; Route through the Castles and so many other aspects that we will tell you about.
